The Emerald Courtyard and the beginning of the wizards struggles for arcane power

It is not known exactly when the wizards fights for power began, what we do know is when the first arcane tournament for power was agreed. Formerly the mages fought each other to achieve greater power and eliminate their rivals, but all those wars generated a lot of chaos within magic power, and with time they saw that the arrival of chaos only brought problems, deaths and ruin on all continents. The Chaos also brought creatures that devastated and roamed at ease throughout the land, all this led to the holding of controlled magic tournaments within the magic towers themselves.

The first non-mortal fights were carried out between the wizards of the same houses, while the fights between magicians of different houses were always to the death and without any type of rules. When two opposing wizards met and attempted to seize their opponent’s territory, the fights were merciless until one mage fled or died. But the worst thing was the chaos they generated in the region, since they summoned creatures from other planes that entered the earth and devastated everything in their path.

We do not know when they agreed and created the non-mortal battles between magicians from different houses, but what we do know what 386 years ago was when the emerald courtyard was created and the battles moved to this place. Of course it was not as we know it today, but we do know that they simulated pulpits in the form of a tower from which each wizard invoked her spells in order to finish off their opponents and increase their power, inside their house.

We know that over time the towers of the magic houses were transformed into universities and the secret places made public. As each tower was at very different cardinal points throughout the entire continent, they decided to create the prelates right where the emerald courtyard was located, creating the famous yellow stone path that leads to the emerald fountain.
